The Many Causes of Acne

Saturday, September 13th, 2008

You finally meet someone that you can really see yourself being with. You are having visions of the future already. Yet on the day of your big date, you wake up to find a large red bump on your face with a massive white lump in the middle.

Sorry to paint this disturbing picture and to sound a bit cliché, but if you have ever suffered from acne, you certainly know this feeling.

Unfortunately, as with most skin complaints including eczema and psoriasis, treating the root cause of acne can be quite a labyrinth because the skin is the largest organ of the body, and is affected by almost everything that we do.

The absolute first thing that anyone who is prone to spots needs is zinc. Zinc deficiency is the number one cause of spots and a good quality supplement must be taken, as this mineral can be difficult to get in food.

If acne is in your genes, then eating something that doesn’t suit you can create a disaster. Sometimes just one morsel of food can cause a breakout. A food intolerance test is a necessity for anyone who desires smooth skin.

Chemicals, Chemicals, Chemicals. They are everywhere. Just because you don’t rub something on your face, doesn’t mean it won’t affect it. Because the skin is one large organ, what the foot touches could cause a spot on the back.

Shampoo, hair gel, toothpaste, foot balm, body lotion, cleaning products, laundry detergent, washing up liquid; every chemical is a suspect. And even if you think you are using a natural organic product that is great for someone else, it doesn’t mean it suits you. Some people (myself included) are so sensitive that they need to vary the skin products they use from week to week so they don’t become intolerant.

Candida overgrowth is another big factor in acne and other skin complaints. If it is growing on the inside, herbs are generally the best way to sort it. If it is simply Candida on the skin, then tea tree oil or the Australian Bush remedy Green essence among others may clear it. Seeing a practitioner who specialises in Candida can be incredibly useful.

Hormonal imbalances may be at the root of your skin woes. If so, most certainly Candida plays a role as it disturbs hormonal balance, and you may need to take other herbs to get the hormones back on track.

Essential fatty acids may also be the root of acne and other skin complaints. Omega-3 is found in fish oil and flaxseed oil. Omega-6 may be found in evening primrose oil and starflower oil, and may be beneficial to take by mouth, or even to rub on the skin.

Vitamin A is another good remedy for acne and is also great for blackheads.

I would like to say that these are the only reasons that one could have acne, but unfortunately the causes can be infinite. Try some of these options since they are the most common, and if you get frustrated, see someone who can test your individual needs.

Nonstick Cookware Chemicals Found in Human Breast Milk

Friday, September 12th, 2008

Toxic chemicals used in nonstick coatings and stain-resistant fabrics were found in the breast milk of every woman tested in a recent study conducted by researchers from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

Researchers tested the milk from 45 different nursing mothers for two different varieties of perflourinated compounds (PFCs): perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) and perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), also known as C8. PFOA is used in nonstick coatings such as Teflon, while PFOS is an ingredient in stain-resistant fabric.

PFCs were found in the milk of every woman tested, at an average concentration of 131 billionths of a gram of PFOS and 44 billionths of a gram of PFOA per liter.

The researchers said that this concentration would expose infants to PFC levels below the maximum set by the British Food Standards Agency Committee, but noted that infants may also be exposed to PFCs from other sources.

Breast milk should be considered as an additional source of PFCs when determining a child’s [total] exposure,” researcher Kathleen Arcaro said.

She urged parents to keep in mind that breastfeeding still provides important nutritional and immune system benefits to infants.

The researchers also found that concentrations of PFCs in the milk of women who were nursing for the first time actually increased during the first six months of nursing.

This may be related to increased food intake to meet the energy demands of nursing, and changes in food consumption patterns,” said Arcaro. “In a Canadian study, diet was shown to contribute 61 percent of a person’s total daily [PFC] intake.”

PFCs are persistent organic pollutants that resist environmental breakdown and instead accumulate in the bodies of living beings, including humans. Research has linked them to cancers, birth and developmental defects and disruptions of the hormonal system. They have been found in the blood of most adults tested around the world. Prior studies have also found that unborn children may absorb PFCs through their mother’s blood.

The United States has not set any regulations for exposure to PFCs.

Almond Growers and Handlers File Federal Lawsuit Seeking to End “Adulteration” of Raw Nuts

Thursday, September 11th, 2008

Lawsuit Would Halt Treatment of Almonds with Toxic Fumigant or Steam Heat

A group of fifteen American almond growers and wholesale nut handlers filed a lawsuit in the Washington, D.C. federal court on Tuesday, September 9 seeking to repeal a controversial USDA-mandated treatment program for California-grown raw almonds.

The almond farmers and handlers contend that their businesses have been seriously damaged and their futures jeopardized by a requirement that raw almonds be treated with propylene oxide (a toxic fumigant recognized as a carcinogen by the EPA) or steam-heated before they can be sold to American consumers.  Foreign-grown almonds are exempt from the treatment scheme and are rapidly displacing raw domestic nuts in the marketplace.

Tens of thousands of angry consumers have contacted the USDA to protest the compulsory almond treatment since the agency’s new regulation went into effect one year ago.  Some have expressed outrage that even though the nuts have been processed with a fumigant, or heat, they will still be labeled as “raw.”

“The USDA’s raw almond treatment mandate has been economically devastating to many family-scale and organic almond farmers in California,” said Will Fantle, the research director for the Wisconsin-based Cornucopia Institute.  Cornucopia has been working with almond farmers and handlers to address the negative impacts of the USDA rule, including the loss of markets to foreign nuts.

The USDA, in consultation with the Almond Board of California, invoked its treatment plan on September 1, 2007 alleging that it was a necessary food safety requirement.  Salmonella-tainted almonds twice this decade caused outbreaks of food related illnesses.  USDA investigators were never able to determine how salmonella bacteria somehow contaminated the raw almonds that caused the food illnesses but they were able to trace back one of the contaminations, in part, to the country’s largest “factory farm,” growing almonds and pistachios on over 9000 acres.

Instead of insisting that giant growers reduce risky practices, the USDA invoked a rule that requires the gassing or steam-heating of California raw almonds in a way that many consumers have found unacceptable.

For those of us who are interested in eating fresh and wholesome food the USDA’s plan, to protect the largest corporate agribusinesses against liability, amounts to the adulteration of our food supply,” said Jill Richardson, a consumer activist and blogger at: www.lavidalocavore.org.

“This ruling is a financial disaster and has closed a major customer group that we have built up over the years,” said Dan Hyman, an almond grower and owner of D&S Ranches in Selma, CA.  His almond business relies on direct sales to consumers over the internet.  Hyman notes that his customers were never consulted by the USDA or the Almond Board before they were denied “a healthy whole natural raw food that they have eaten with confidence, enjoyment and benefit for decades.”

The lawsuit contends that the USDA exceeded its authority, which is narrowly limited to regulating quality concerns in almonds such as dirt, appearance and mold.  And even if the USDA sought to regulate bacterial contamination, the questionable expansion of its authority demanded a full evidentiary hearing and a producer referendum, to garner public input – neither of which were undertaken by the USDA.

“The fact that almond growers were not permitted to fully participate in developing and approving this rule undermines its legitimacy,” said Ryan Miltner, the attorney representing the almond growers.  “Rather than raising the level of income for farmers and providing handlers with orderly marketing conditions,” added Miltner, “this particular regulation creates classes of economic winners and losers.  That type of discriminatory economic segregation is anathema to the intended purpose of the federal marketing order system. “

Retailers of raw almonds have also been expressing their unhappiness, based on feedback from their customers, with the raw almond treatment rule.  “We’ve been distributing almonds grown by family farmers in California for over 30 years and we regard them as the common heritage of the American people,” said Dr. Jesse Schwartz, President of Living Tree Community Foods in Berkeley, CA.  “We can think of no reply more fitting than to affirm our faith that ultimately the wisdom and good sense of the American people will prevail in this lawsuit.”

Barth Anderson, Research & Development Coordinator for The Wedge, a Minneapolis-based grocery cooperative, noted that their mission has always been to support family farmers.  “We weren’t surprised when Wedge shoppers and members wrote nearly 500 individual letters expressing disapproval of the USDA’s mandatory fumigation law for domestic almonds,” Anderson said.  “Our members especially did not like the idea that fumigated almonds could be called ‘raw.’”

According to the USDA, there is no requirement for retailers to alert consumers to the toxic, propylene oxide fumigation or steam treatment applied to raw almonds from California.

“This rule is killing the California Organic Almond business,” said Steve Koretoff, a plaintiff in the lawsuit and owner of Purity Organics located in Kerman, CA.  “Because foreign almonds do not have to be pasteurized their price is going up while our price is going down because of the rule.  It makes no sense.” Koretoff added.

Two groups of consumers that have been particularly vocal in their opposition to the almond treatment rule are raw food enthusiasts and vegans.  These consumers may obtain as much as 30% of their daily protein intake from raw almonds, after grinding them for flour and other uses.  Studies exploring nutritional impacts following fumigant and steam treatment have yet to be publicly released.  A Cornucopia Institute freedom of information request for the documents is awaiting a response from the USDA.

“We raw vegans believe raw foods, from non-animal sources, contains valuable nutrients – some not yet well-understood by scientists,” stated Joan Levin, a retired attorney living in Chicago.  “These nutrients can be destroyed by heat, radiation and toxic chemicals.  We support the continued availability of fresh produce free of industrial age tampering,” explained Levin.

Cornucopia’s Fantle noted that the Washington, D.C. federal district court has already assigned the almond lawsuit a case number, beginning its move through the judicial system.  “We believe this is a strong legal case and hope for a favorable decision in time to protect this year’s almond harvest,” Fantle said.

NaturalNews Releases Free Report on The 7 Principles of Mindful Wealth

Wednesday, September 10th, 2008

Consumer health advocate and author Mike Adams (the “Health Ranger”) has released a new special report describing a breakthrouguh philosophy on attracting what he calls “mindful wealth.” The report teaches readers how to let go of unconscious limitations to personal wealth and embrace a conscious wealth attraction philosophy that’s aligned with natural living principles.

The report is available at no charge: http://www.naturalnews.com/Report_Mindf…

The 7 Principles of Mindful Wealth dispels the idea that money itself is evil, and says that people who live in the service of protecting sustainable life have a moral obligation to oversee the accumulation and redistribution of more wealth. Special attention is paid to the methods by which wealth is both accumulated and redistributed, and author Mike Adams says that “hoarding money” by withholding it from others causes financial stagnation and blocks the cycle of abundance.

Top 10 Ways to Reduce Plastic Consumption

Monday, September 8th, 2008

By now you have likely heard of the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, a tragic byproduct of the plastics industry and consumerism that is an island of garbage floating in the northern Pacific Ocean. Originally the size of Texas and approaching the size of the Sun, this gargantuan pile of plastic is collected by currents that swirl around in a big circle. Most of the debris is picked up from the shores of both China and North America that sandwich it.

As plastic never goes away, it eventually crumbles up into tiny bits (photo-degrades). These bits of plastic enter the food supply and are passed from the jelly fish all the way back up to humans where it is stored in their livers (that part is only fair). Plastic also pollutes the water with PCB’s (PolyChlorinated Biphenyls, dangerous carcinogens and hormone disruptors).

While no one person is to blame, every person has contributed to the Great Pacific Garbage Patch (it’s a safe bet the Atlantic also has one lurking somewhere). Whether one throws litter on the ground or trusts in their municipal trash companies to do it for them, everyone throws away plastic and it ends up in the ocean and then back in our bodies.

While some say cleanup is impossible, hopefully someday someone will find a solution. Perhaps they will find a way to convert plastic to energy (it is made of oil after all), and they can make a ship refueling station out there that will produce energy from plastic. Or perhaps nanotech robots can disassemble it and bring it to the recycler. (Such technology would be extremely dangerous as it would have to be careful not to accidentally disassemble Kenny Rogers face). In the meantime there are many things people can do to at least help prevent this pile of garbage from getting any larger.

Ways to Reduce Plastic in Landfills:

1) Avoid Products that use Plastic to Begin With
Plastic is made from petroleum hence it is so ubiquitous today. Plastic is convenient but most of the cheaper grades (the clear stuff) find its way into our food, often leaving a film on anything that is wrapped in it and which we then eat. Microwaving anything in plastic cooks plastic residues right into the food, vaporizing other chemicals that contaminate the food and air. Consider the amount of sheer waste a single meal or even serving produces (Kraft Singles is second only to Individually Wrapped Breaths of Air (tm) in the Most Wasteful Products Award). Reuse glass or Tupperware containers for leftovers instead of plastic wrap. Store water in the high grade blue plastic bottles only. Prefer cheese that is made from raw milk.

2) Kick the Bottle
High on the list of most wasteful products is Individually Wrapped Drinks of Water, a lingering 1990’s fad for those pretending to be health conscious. Picture a lake compared to a lake of plastic bottles and that is basically what we now have in the Pacific. Corporations are taking over town aquifers and selling it back to the people for $2 per bottle. Shipping one bottle of water costs on average 1/3 bottle of fuel. It is best to filter or distill your own water and use metal or glass containers. Companies like Nalgene make trendy reusable water containers of high grade plastic. Opt for tap water with lemon in restaurants. Note: wait staff seem trained to always supply a plastic straw with every drink (probably so you don’t notice the lipstick on the rim of the glass), so remember to request no straw with your drink.

3) Recycle or Reuse Materials
Plastic can be recycled and you will find that when you start recycling you at least save money on trash bags. Many containers can be washed out and reused (though they should be sterilized with apple cider vinegar). Note that only the higher grade plastics can be reused.

4) Choose Products with Biodegradable Plastic
Now many plastic cups along with packaging peanuts and other supplies are available in a biodegradable form. Companies like Ecosafe and Natur-Tec are providing real solutions to the plastic problem.

5) Repair, Sell or Upgrade Gadgets
Many people run out and buy the latest new cell phone or iPod more often than needed, discarding their old phones in the rubbish where they not only add to plastic landfill but also leak out various other contaminants like Mercury. Meanwhile older components, while larger, are often superior as they tend to be constructed of much more solid materials. By repairing your items you can keep things in top shape much longer. Tackle small problems when they arise. Take the time to fix things right. Buy used products when possible and sell your items when they are no longer needed. Prefer products that offer replacement parts.

6) Recycle Computer Parts
If you must discard items like monitors or printers, at least take them to an electronics recycler. Staples accepts old monitors, etc. for a small fee.

7) Use Cloth Grocery Bags
While this is more of a challenge for men as they look like pocketbooks, it is important to avoid bringing home so many plastic bags. Cloth bags can help. Some shoppers at the farmers market seem afraid to let any vegetables touch any other vegetables, insisting that each be individually wrapped. A better method is to use as few bags as possible, to reuse those taken, recycle them when they tear, and especially to avoid using them to begin with by bringing your own bag. Eventually this will save money as stores are considering charging for them.

8)  Do Sweat the Small Stuff
The worst pieces of plastic are the tiny bits. These are the ones that birds, turtles and fish mistake for food and eat and then can’t pass them. Eventually these poor animals become full of plastic and they die of starvation, or they are consumed by larger animals and the process continues. After these animals die, the plastic is the only part that is left behind where it kills again.

9)  Don’t be a Litter Bug
Many feel that if they don’t litter, they will be putting the garbage man out of a job. Some will simply chuck their used car batteries (full of sulfuric acid) into the woods behind their home. The truth is that this debris will persist for decades and humans leave enough of a footprint without adding insult to injury. In the 1970’s there were TV commercials with Woodsy Owl reminding us to “Give a Hoot Don’t Pollute”. In today’s corporate controlled media the best we get is talk about the Carbon Tax. Even the threat of Nuclear War is brushed aside by the media in favor of the War on Drugs, the War on Terror, and the War on Manners.

10)  Clean up your Neighborhood Ponds
Many neighborhoods have small ponds containing water that is cleaner than their municipal tap water. These ponds are often teeming with fish and turtles that help keep them pure. Sadly however these ponds (and wildlife) are normally loaded with plastic debris. By taking 15 minutes each week, one person can really help clean up their neighborhood. The process is surprisingly relaxing and the animals will appreciate it. Do note that random passerby will think you are out on parole, so wearing an orange jumpsuit is not recommended. Ideally, organize a neighborhood trash pickup (nowadays that may require legal waivers in case participants obtain a boo boo).

Exercise ‘tackles flawed memory’

Friday, September 5th, 2008

Exercise may help improve mental performance in adults with mild memory problems, research suggests.

A University of Melbourne team tested the impact of a home-based physical activity programme on 138 volunteers aged 50 and over with memory problems.

Those who took part showed a modest improvement in cognitive function compared to those who did not.

The Journal of the American Medical Association study suggests exercise may help ward off severe mental decline.

Unlike medication, physical activity has the advantage of health benefits that are not confined to cognitive function alone.
University of Melbourne researchers

Dementia is already a serious problem, and the number of people with Alzheimer’s disease, the most common form of the condition, is predicted to quadruple worldwide over the next half century.

The latest study focused on people with mild cognitive impairment, a term used to describe memory problems that are not serious enough to interfere with everyday life.

It does not necessarily lead to dementia, but does increase risk of developing the condition.

Walking

Some volunteers were asked to complete three 50-minute sessions a week of moderate physical activity, such as walking, for 24 weeks. Others were not asked to increase their exercise levels.

At the end of the study, the people in the exercise group achieved better scores in tests of their cognitive function, and lower scores in tests to determine signs of dementia.

Follow-up showed that the benefits persisted for at least another 12 months after the exercise programme was stopped.

Exercise is known to help keep the cardiovascular system healthy, and may help boost cognitive function by boosting blood supply to the brain.

Writing in the journal, the researchers said: “Unlike medication, which was found to have no significant effect on mild cognitive impairment at 36 months, physical activity has the advantage of health benefits that are not confined to cognitive function alone, as suggested by findings on depression, quality of life, falls, cardiovascular function, and disability.”

Dr Susanne Sorensen, head of research at the Alzheimer’s Society, said: “Regular exercise is one of the best ways to reduce your risk of dementia and can help slow progression of the condition.

This study demonstrates that exercise improves cognition in people with mild cognitive impairment, and that there is a lasting effect even after the exercise intervention stops.

We need more research to investigate whether exercise not only improves cognition, but also stops people with mild cognitive impairment developing dementia.”

Experts on Food Crisis: Stop Promoting Genetic Engineering and Pesticides

Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008

As the debate over how to solve the global food crisis heats up, experts criticize many in the mainstream media for promoting pesticides and genetically engineered seeds as solutions to global hunger. In a recent critique, Francis Moore Lappe, author of the famous book Diet for a Small Planet and co-founder of Food First and the Small Planet Institute, says the media, in this case NPR, are off the mark in identifying the underlying causes of the food crisis and fail to look at the hopeful stories of farming communities that are succeeding with agro-ecological methods.

Ms. Lappe writes, “On every continent one can find empowered rural communities developing GM-free, agro-ecological farming systems. They’re succeeding: the largest overview study, looking at farmers transitioning to sustainable practices in 57 countries, involving almost 13 million small farmers on almost 100 million acres, found after four years that average yields were up 79 percent.” As an example, she points to what may be the “pesticide capital of the world,” Andhra Pradesh, India, where “pests developed insecticide resistance and genetically modified (GM) cotton failed to live up to Monsanto’s promises.” After significant crop losses and farmer suicides there, many communities rejected Monsanto’s seeds and chemicals and adopted farming methods relying on agro-ecological approaches and have since enjoyed increased incomes and health.

Ms. Lappe’s argument that the answer to the food crisis lies largely in the adoption of community-based agro-ecological farming methods echoes the assessment of over 400 scientists and experts in agriculture from around the world who convened earlier this year for the International Assessment of Agricultural Science and Technology for Development (IAASTD) (see Daily News of June 5, 2008). Some described this report as the agricultural version of the International Framework Convention on Climate Change, the now famous treaty on global climate change. Yet the findings of the IAASTD rarely make it into the media when discussing the global food crisis.

Recently, Prince Charles’ outspoken stance against genetic engineering has reinvigorated the debate about the pros and cons of genetically engineered seeds. For all the value in having this discussion, it is paramount not to overshadow what should be the focus of attention -the promising future of agro-ecological and organic farming in addressing the food needs of the world while protecting public health and the environment.

Beyond Pesticides encourages sound organic practices as a viable, healthy alternative to agriculture that relies heavily on chemical pesticides and fertilizers, and as a valuable tool to slow climate change.

Bloodroot, Chinese Medicine, and the FDA - Keeping the Public Medically Ignorant

Monday, September 1st, 2008

Mention the word “cancer” on an internet site that sells herbs now days and you are suddenly Public Enemy Number One! I received a warning letter from the FDA basically saying, “If you do not change your wording and making of any claims or publishing testimony of anyone cured of cancer by herbs or anything else that is not an FDA approved drug then we will legally raid your property, take all we want to confiscate and arrest you”. I was one of the “lucky 25” that received a warning letter last month.

Even our own Tucson local TV stations put our “Plant Cures” logo all over the screen and jumped on the band wagon making me out to look like a charlatan and seller of “fake” cures. (It was a bit funny how our sales had a major upward spike for a few weeks after.)

But to get to the more interesting points, one of the things the FDA was most specific about in the letter was a link posted at the site to a remarkable study done by The American Association for Cancer Research. The study was on on Bloodroot (Sanguinaria canadendis) as an anti-cancer substance.

Remember, all I did was leave a link to this study on my site. The study ended many of its paragraphs (including the very first one) with, “We suggest Sanguinaria be developed as an anti-cancer drug”; I simply pointed this fact out and this drove the FDA absolutely crazy!

About a year before I got the FDA letter, The National Cancer Institute (Pretending to be the “FTC” –- Federal Trade Commission) e-mailed me and told me that I must remove the link to the study because it was not “Conclusive”. Well even if it was not conclusive (which it is), it was not my study and not my website! It was only a link to The American Association for Cancer Research. This very study is still posted at the AACR and can be seen here: ((http://clincancerres.aacrjournals.org/c…) . Check out the end of the first paragraph, it is a very interesting study. The FDA sure did not make the AACR remove it. Gee, I wonder why? By the way, when I emailed the “FTC” back, the email address read, “Cancer.Gov” and had nothing to do with the FTC’s email address.

I noticed that Bloodroot was one of the most common denominators in all of the 25 warning letters from the FDA. Why (I have always asked) is the FDA so upset with Bloodroot? Is it a terrible threat to the Cancer Industry? Please read “Who controls the Cancer Industry?” at The Tonic Herbal Times: ((http://www.tonicherbaltimes.com/thtcanc...) .

I was lucky in the fact that only about 1% of my web site dealt with cancer herbs at the time so I simply removed any link to cancer as a subject. (Although I still have Bloodroot and Essiac Tea listed there with no mention of cancer.)

However, many of the 25 sites that were attacked had their whole business based on anti-cancer herbs! I feel terrible for these innocent people that have worked so hard to make an honest living providing people with great alternative help and now their businesses are in ruin because of a little “hissy fit” that the FDA threw. I would love to see a class-action lawsuit in favor of these people.

I can not begin to tell you how many healings I have seen from bloodroot on both humans and animals! I used to get skin cancers on my own “Irish skinned face” once in a while and I would simply dab some Bloodroot tincture on them –- in a day or two they would be gone! (I guess I can say that here since this is not my site.)

Since I have had my hands in Bloodroot tincture at least once a week for the last two years (from manufacturing it) I have not seen anymore skin cancers on my face.

But to get back to Chinese Medicine (LOL!), I am simply amazed at the power many Chinese tonic herbs, including many mushrooms, have in preventing and sometimes restoring health to a cancerous situation.

Herbs like Jaio Gu Lan and He Shou Wu are some of the best preventative herbs and my favorite mushroom for the immune system when dealing with cancer or preventing it is Reishi combined with Huang Qi (we call this “Strong Defense” on our website).

Studies on some common Chinese herbs like Huang Qin (Scutellaria radix, ??) as used against cancer can be seen at the Chinese Medicine News by going here: ((http://chinesemedicinenews.com/2007/12/…)

However the most amazing thing I have seen in my life as far as Chinese Medicine and cancer was the discovery that a common herb called Qing Huo (Artemisia annua or “Sweet Annie”) had amazing anti-cancer qualities.

I have used this herb in formula many times on people against fever and by itself against Malaria. It is most likely the very best substance known to work against malaria fever and can also be taken to prevent Malaria. However I had no idea that it would show up as an anti-cancer drug!

Here is a link to a page with pictures of the plant and many links From the U.S. National Library of Medicine and the National Institutes of Health to studies showing that the drug companies already have a synthetic version of this and how they have “proven” this to cure cancer! Please go here to see it: (http://plantcures.com/artemisinin.html) .

Synthetic Drugs” as many of you know, will not cure anything in the long run. Please see Mike Adam’s great cartoon that tells it all by going here: (http://www.naturalnews.com/holyplants0.html) .

The biggest problem with the drug companies pulling this off is that good ol’ “Sweet Annie” is an “escaped weed” inexpensive and easy to harvest, and grows wild all over the world now! What are you going to do, Drug Thugs? Run around with weed killer and kill every one of these plants in the world? (We have this herb in 5:1 extract capsules at our site but it is only listed under fevers and Malaria to keep the FDA from having another fit.)

However the drug company’s over whelming interest in this plant is testimony that many whole plants used as cancer treatment are unmistakably waiting just around the corner to once and for all heal the nations from the tyrannical government / drug lord control of our health.

Always remember the last line in Mike’s cartoon: “God said, “the whole plants, not the holy plants!”
